  • The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay attended the closing ceremony of the second Winter Youth Engagement Programme in Gyalpoizhing Higher Secondary School, Mongar, today.
  • Paro United Football is the newest club to get an entry in the National League. The club was given an entry without having to play qualifying rounds as it was the only club to come forward to register from Paro.
  • Through its first winter camp in Trashigang, the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) is advocating and encouraging youth to take up vocation trainings as a viable career option.
  • A salang tendrel for 8-foot Jampel Yang Statue was held yesterday n Samtse. The statue is a gift from PCAL and Lhaki Cement. It will be built at the Gomtu Public Park. The statue expected to complete in a few months to also to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
  • As part of the winter sport coaching camp, over 30 students under the age of sixteen are undergoing a month long Golf Coaching camp in Gomtu, Samtse. It is organised with support from Bhutan Golf Federation and Penden Sports Recreation Club.
